Shibboleth Access Setup for GeoScienceWorld

Have you set up Shibboleth access for your institution?
GSW participates with the Federations listed below, and we are happy to add additional choices by request.

Log in to your Administrator Dashboard and follow the steps below to help your patrons and researchers connect to GeoScienceWorld’s comprehensive content.

Instructions to Add or Edit Shibboleth Information

  1. Federation - required
    • Select the appropriate Federation from the drop-down

  2.  Shibboleth Entity ID - required
  1. eduPersonScopedAffiliation
    • Either one scoped or unscoped affiliation, or the entitlement is required.
    • Format: Multiple values must be separated by a semi-colon (;).
    • Example: employee@bris.ac.uk or faculty@bris.ac.uk
  1. eduPersonAffiliation
    • Either one scoped or unscoped affiliation, or the entitlement is required.
    • Format: Multiple values must be separated by a semi-colon (;).
    • Example: student or alumni or staff
  1. eduPersonEntitlement
    • Either one scoped or unscoped affiliation, or the entitlement is required.
    • Format: Multiple values must be separated by a semi-colon (;).
    • Example: urn:mace:dir:entitlement:common-lib-terms

Instructions to Remove Shibboleth Information

  1. Click the Remove button.
    • This will remove all five Shibboleth fields.

  2. Confirm removal when prompted.
    • A confirmation box will appear.
    • Once confirmed, all information is deleted.
    • Note: This action cannot be undone.
